Fear based reasoning has on many occasions left me paralyzed and regretful of missed opportunities.  Throwing caution to the wind, in November of 2011 I decided to attend a retreat at CircleOfTrees where Kat Naslas, of Katalyst Healing Arts was leading a Trance Dance Workshop, Firewalk and Prayer Arrow Ceremony. Hesitant and perhaps even a bit skeptical of placing myself into the throes of danger, I decided to open myself to the Universe and see what came back.  From the minute I met Kat there was a sense of familiarity and safety.  I instinctively knew that I trusted her to guide and steer me into the recesses of places I had yet dared to go.  Perhaps it was the sparkle in her eyes, the radiance of her smile, or just perhaps, the enthusiasm she shared for life and the ceremonial respect of the journey on which we were about to embark.  And then it happened.  The sound of the arrow snapping was like music to my ears, the warmth of my first step over the threshold of the fire was like a kindling of my ancestry.  It was at that point I knew I was stepping into a whole new world and there was no turning back.  I was given a renewed sense of strength and re-birth.  In December of 2011 I recorded my first musical CD.  In January of 2012, I was asked to help facilitate one of the largest community drum circles in our area.  In the past, fear would have halted me in my tracks.  Today, I have this voice in my head, Kat’s voice, that reminds me…”Always be in love with everything and be happy.”  Kat, I have begun to picture myself on the other side with Happy Feet.  Thank you from the sole of my feet to the drumming in my heart.  Aho!

I would like to take a moment to share my experience. First I will start by saying what a welcome ray of sunshine Kat is. She glows with her beautiful warm smile when she enters the room, her positive attitude is bursting. Molly & Jenn her assistants for the evening at Circle of Tree Retreats were awesome as well. All very supportive and worked as a team. Now, I have yet to firewalk……I was not ready. The reason I want to write is that I am sure I am not alone. It has been two months since my retreat and I am still sharing the teachings and experience with others. In fact, I am truly contemplating firewalking at our next event together, as well as my Mom, Sister and Cousin. From what I have learned from the other ladies that night, is that it is a truly transformational experience. Something I wish to pursue at some point. I commend all who have done this again and again, and can see it shine through their spirit as they explain what we will endure. Kat is patient, understanding and compassionate, to the thought that one is not ready to walk….She is supportive and does not make you feel bad. Which for me was everything. I am grateful that have had the honor to meet Kat, I will continue to enjoy her smile and love that she radiates both online and in person. This is truly an experience that you need to see and if possible partake in it….Peace & Bright Blessings to all who may begin their transformation…~Namaste~

Hey circle people, The workshop last weekend was really incredible. Having chakra and trance dances with the fire walk and the prayer arrow ceremony was completely intense and amazing; a whole package that synergistically supported itself. I strongly commend Kathie, and totally recommend that everyone do this workshop with her sometime soon. A firewalk under the fiery yet gentle guidance of Kat Naslas and associates took me to a very deep place where there was a life-transforming lesson learned. The fire burned away a veil of illusion.
